The impact of sender's characteristics to information receiving on facebook

Abstract

Facebook allows its users to hide their real identity. The research intends to measure how much confident individuals are when they have to receive information from other anonymous persons. This research explores and impact of trust on the level of confidence to receive information from an anonymous sender. Based on the focus groups outcome, trust can be measured from three sender's characteristics- level of sender's expertise, communication competence,and credibility. Since the research is in the proposal stage, the methodology has not yet been pursed.
