Key factors for being an agile organization: an exploratory study from companies in Thailand

Abstract

To maintain competitiveness under changing environments, the management of many organizations has considered agility as one of the key success factor. In this paper, the key factors for being an agile organization of companies in Thailand are explored. The sample group of this study is selected from company lists on the stock exchange of Thailand (SET) that had been ranked in top 200 Thailand's most innovative companies. The questionnaire is used to explore the components of an agile organization. The result of factor analysis concludes that there are three factors pertaining to the development an organization in Thailand to be agile. Those factors are 1) market orientation 2) leadership 3) performance tracking.
