Genius Journey is a new creative leadership development method purposefully designed to guide senior executives, managers and entrepreneurs on how to gradually transform themselves into an authentic creative leader in the innovation economy. I structure the paper into five parts. Parts 1 establishes the need for an effective creative leadership development program. The second part reviews the literature on the emerging domain of creative leadership development and individual creativity enhancement. After briefly discussing the chosen research approach for this paper in part 3, I explain the Genius Journey method in detail in the fourth part, thereby describing how its different methodological design features integrate into one elegant platform that enables candidates to acquire the differentiating success mindsets and action routines of a genuinely creative leader slowly but surely. The final part discusses how the Genius Journey method may provide support and inspiration for business practitioners and proposes future research directions
