Supportive Factors of Job and Life Satisfaction of Disclosed LGB Workforce

Abstract

This study addressed the untangling effect of supportive working environment toward Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual (LGB) employees especially those in Thailand. The objective of this study is to identify the supportive factors that influence job and life satisfaction of LGB employees. Data were collected from disclosed LGB employees in Thailand. Data were tested by using a Partial Least Squares approach which was a variance-based structural equation modeling technique commonly used in management research. Results suggested that organizational support becomes more important for life satisfaction for disclosed LGB employees. The study contributed to the academic in the aspects of LGB employees’ perception toward their workplace environment in different social and cultural context of Thailand. The findings also provide insights for HR managers to attract and retain LGB employees.
