Abstract
Globalization has been one of many Companies’ competitive advantages in recent years. The rapid expansion of Internet retailing or online shopping has been a key player. One of their key success factors in business operation is logistic management and physical distribution. Physical distribution management (PDM) involves controlling the movement of material and goods from their source to their destination. It is a highly complex process, and one of the most important aspects of any business. Most business will focus on area to reduce their cost and time in delivering, return goods from damage and mistaken delivery, delivery security and customer relationship etc. Good physical distribution means good management which maximize organization profit. This paper presents the applications of logistics management and physical distribution management through the case study of DHL company.
