Retail Operation in Warehouse stores: A Case Study of Retail Strategy Implementation at IKEA

Abstract

Retail is the process of selling consumer goods or service to customers through multiple channels of distribution to satisfy customers’ wants and needs. Retail owners should focus on retail strategy,which is the critical success factor for retailing business. This article is a case study which applies retail strategy to the Swedish furniture store, IKEA. Retail strategy analysis of IKEA revealed that each part has advantages and disadvantage which impact competitive success in the retail furniture business.
