Abstract

Nowadays, both public and private hospitals attempt to use the most up-to-date technology aiming to improve and increase service efficiency. Radio Frequency Identification or RFID is considered as an advanced tool. However, in the healthcare business, this is still regarded as a new thing in the initial period of using RFID technology, which comes with a lot of constraints. Based on review of past literature, more than 40% of technology implementation in the health care business has resulted in failure due to a lot of restrictions e.g. technical aspects, budget, human resources, and various hospital standards. These obstructions have made it difficult to use the technology. It is essential to be aware of many factors in order to achieve the greatest efficiency.
