Lean Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition of the Fish Cage Aquaculture

Abstract

This paper was to analyze the condition of the existing business model B M and design a new innovative one for transforming to fish cage aqua culture entrepreneurship FCAE in which technology is implemented through the lean business model canvas L B M C approach. Descriptive qualitative with the case study approach used in the research conducted from April 2018 to June 2019 at central region of Thailand Thailand. Aquaculture Technology Company limited was selected as the case due to be the innovative driven entrepreneur who needs to transform from existing business model as the non technology based entrepreneur and it have become one of FCA E s subsidized TED Fund by Thai Government in Year 20192019. In the approach to descriptive qualitative research, formulation of the research problem followed by a discussion of latest issues in data collection and sampling sampling. Data analysis used LBMC and Value Proposition V P Design tools. New V P s of the FCAE with Automatic Feeder AF in Thailand w ere offered in the BM development. Information Sources include primary and secondary data data. Primary data are derived from i n depth interview to 15 respondents including targeted 10 customers and relevant 5 stakeholders using the semi structured questionnaire s , which the y are used as guidelines and references to formulate LBMC and VP Design for establishing the case while secondary data are collected from relevant paper s The results showed that BMC and V P can be used as the establishment of new B M and V P aligned with market driven approach of the case , which has unique strength for FCAE with AF in Thailand and enhances market opportunities to Southeast Asia countries countries. T he study value indicated that little research has been conducted in the field and t he work faces challenge that limits to the case of FCAE focusing on factors to develop B M and V P to the industry. Practical implications will show the most promising B M that will result s in higher chances of success of new business ventures related to B M disruption of FCAE and set to encourage sustainability and industry development of FCAE in Thailand besides, social contribution s will empower local community stimulate economic growth and social welfare in Thailand
