Dr. Nareerat Taechapiroontong earned her M.B.A. from Louisiana Tech University, her M.S. in Finance from Georgia State University, and her Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Memphis in Tennessee, USA. Her dissertation was supervised by Professor Dr. Thomas H. McInish, one of the 100 most prolific authors in top finance journals. Dr. Nareerat joined CMMU in 2004 and has served as a full-time finance lecturer and thesis adviser. Dr. Nareerat's research focuses on issues in Market Microstructure, the study of the impact of market micro-factors such as market design, market transparency, asset prices, risk, and trading costs on the market efficiency. Other research interests involve investment trading strategies and capital market efficiency. She has published research papers in international refereed journals such as The Financial Review and has presented her research at FMA and FEA conferences in the USA.
