Dr. Nathasit Gerdsri received his Ph.D. in Systems Science/Engineering and Technology Management from Portland State University (USA) in 2004. His Ph.D. dissertation was on the development of technology development envelope (TDE) for roadmapping of emerging technologies. A part of his dissertation was selected for the PICMET'05-Best Student Paper Award. Dr. Gerdsri completed B. Eng in mechanical engineering from Chulalongkorn University (Thailand) and dual M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering and engineering management. Dr. Gerdsri's research areas include strategic technology management, technology roadmapping, strategic decision making, project management, and international technology management.
Prior to join CMMU, Dr. Gerdsri held a faculty position as Visiting Assistant Professor at PSU where he taught the courses like Technology Roadmapping, Decision Making, etc. Before that, Dr. Gerdsri worked with Intel Corp./R&D Lab located in Oregon (USA) as a technology developer and research program coordinator during 2001-2002. In addition to academic works, Dr. Gerdsri has served the community by providing tutorial presentations, consulting and training services on the issues related to technology roadmapping, technology management, R&D project selection for organizations like PTT Public Company, Siam Cement Group, PICMET'04 in Seoul Korea, APEC meeting on the foresight project of future fuel in 2005 Vancouver CA, Thailand National Science and Technology Development Agency in 2004, Bangkok, Thailand. |
