One of the success factors in technology transfer is the ability to cross over technological capability gap between a transferor and a transferee. This study addresses the uses of the analysis of technology capability assessment of the two organizations for determining a proper technology transfer mechanism. A case example of Thailand's automotive electronics industry is presented. The results reveal that the combination of formal ad informal structure of technology transfer should be utilized depended on the different level of technological capability in each area between the two organizations.
