Abstract

The most important challenge for R&D driven organizations is the ability to commercialize new technological products from the Research and Development Process. An effective and timely technology commercialization is a critical factor to survive in a changing business environment. R&D organization with successful product commercialization will be referred as competitive market leader and innovator. This article aims to present the R&D management frameworks which lead R&D organizations to achieve the product and technology commercialization through R&D process. Networking R&D management and implementation of holistic knowledge for defining product concept and designing R&D process are the main principles for creating a successful R&D organization. In this paper, research and development of “Diagnostic Kits”, which was succeeded in commercialization, is presented as a case example.
