AbstractThe purpose of this study is to explore enabling factors in transferring technology between university and industry. An analysis was built upon the previous study of Valentin, Sanchez and Martin (2004). The authors conducted an intensive interview with project teams who involved with the Hard Disk Drive Inspection and Sorting Machine Development Project. This project has been initiated by the field robotic Sand development research center in university and the hard dis drive manufacturing company, which is one third of the world largest hard disk drive manufacturer. The results could be considered as implementation guidelines for Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who is in charge of technology transfer project between university and industry causing minimal difficulties.
