A research report by CMMU PhD candidate Pisanu Vimolratana and his advisor, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sooksan Kantabutra, has been accepted for publication in Asia-Pacific Journal of Business Administration indexed in ISI Web of KnowledgeSM, an indication of the journal's high quality.  As a result of Pisanu's research apprenticeship, the report is entitled "Vision-based leadership: Relationships and consequences in Thai and Australian retail stores".  The study examines follower roles of vision sharing and vision guiding in the visionary leadership process, the findings of which reveal significant associations between the follower roles and enhanced business performance.  This report is among the first to empirically reveal the importance of the follower roles to performance outcomes, particularly across the cultures.  Publication of this report comfirms CMMU's status as a leading business school in Asia.

A member of CMMU first PhD cohort, Pisanu has been working on his PhD with the CMMU Leadership Research Group, a multidisciplinary research group funded by the Thailand Research Fund.  His areas of research interest lie in sustainable leadership, corporate sustainability and the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy in business.
