Dr. Gerdsri and his research team successfully delivered research presentation in PICMET2009

on .

PICMET (Portland International Conference in Management of Engineering and Technology) is the leading international conference in the area of technology management since 1989. PICMET becomes the event where researchers and practitioners in this field from around the world meet annually to share their research findings and the best industrial experiences/practices. In this year, the meeting was held at the conference headquarter in Portland, Oregon during Aug 2-6, 2009. There were about 500+ participants from more than 40 countries.

Dr. Nathasit Gerdsri submitted three research works. The first two are related to the operationalization of technology roadmapping process. One demonstrates the application of Technology Development Envelope (TDE) for roadmapping of the future automotive powertrain technologies. The second one demonstrates the application of integrated market and technology tools for roadmapping of the future development of web services technologies. Another area of his research work which was also presented at the conference is on technology adoption. It is an ongoing work that Dr. Nathasit and Miss Chonyacha Suebsin (his Ph.D. student ) are studying by aiming to understand how a firm should plan in order to effectively implement a new technology.
