CMMU and Engineering Faculties jointly awarded the research grant from TRIDI

Dr. Prattana Punnakitikashem, CMMU Faculty member, together with Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat from   Biomedical Engineering Department and Dr. Zeng Lertmanorat from Electrical Engineering Department, Mahidol University were awarded a 5.8 Million Baht research grant from Telecommunications Research and Industrial Development Institute (TRIDI) for a research project entitled:  Neuroprosthetic Communication Devices for Handicaps. This research project will develop communication devices prototype for handicaps along with business plans for commercializing the newly developed devices. The project aims to bridge the gap between product developers, business enterprise, and regulatory agency.


This research project is a collaboration between CMMU, Faculty of Engineering, and TRIDI, which is a research institute under National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). This project provides CMMU opportunity to create new knowledge from real practices by integrating efforts from both engineering and business disciplines. The results will be utilized by the National Telecommunication Regulatory Agency.
