CMMU Faculty's Cross-continent Research in World's Leading Business Strategy Journal

on .

Assistant Professor Dr. Sooksan Kantabutra, along with Professor Gayle C. Avery of Sydney's Macquarie Graduate School of Management, has just published their cross-continent vision research in Journal of Business Strategyone of the world's leading business strategy journals.  The article is entitled "The Power of Vision: Statements that Resonate", appearing in Volumn 31, Issue 1.

While vision is emphasized by authors and consultants as critical to superior performance, little is known about what characterizes effective vision. This study uncovers this unknown, revealing that effective visions are characterized by conciseness, clarity, abstractness, stability, future orientation, challenge and desirability or ability to inspire in Australian, Thai and US businesses. Such visions are associated with higher performance outcomes.  Please click here for full report.

Indexed by Scopus, the Journal of Business Strategy has a distinctly practical bent and is geared toward senior and middle managers in organizations and industries throughout the world.  It was established more than 25 years ago and contains articles from the world's leading academics as well as business writers and consultants, including Michael E. Porter and Philip Kotler.  According to the journal, its key audiences are middle or senior managers, global or regional executives, college professors, consultants to business and business school students around the globe.  Publication of this report confirms CMMU's status as a leading business school in Asia.
