CMMU Faculty Again Awarded Prestigious Royal Golden Jubilee Grant of 2 Million Baht

on .

Assistant Professor Dr. Nathasit Gerdsri has this year been awarded one of the prestigious two-million-baht Royal Golden Jubilee-PhD grants (โครงการปริญญาเอกกาญจนาภิเษก) in the field of management by the Thailand Research Fund, in co-operation with the Office of the Higher Education Commission and the National Science and Technology Development Agency.  Commemorating His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's Golden Jubilee year of reign, the prestigious Royal Golden Jubilee-PhD program was set up in 1999 to allow highly qualified faculty members to train PhD graduates at the international standard to meet the demand of the country.

The Royal Golden Jubilee-PhD program is extremely selective.  According to the Thailand Research Fund, faculty members who are qualified for the prestigious grants are only those who clearly demonstrate their ability to continuously publish their research in high-quality international journals for the past five years.  At present, the CMMU PhD program hosts three Royal Golden Jubilee scholars, namely: Assistant Professor Dr. Nathasit Gerdsri (technology management), Assistant Professor Dr. Roy Kouwenberg (finance) and Assistant Professor Dr. Sooksan Kantabutra (leadership), an indication of the highest quality of the CMMU PhD program.
