The National Launch of Sufficiency Economy Business Standard (SEBS) Developed by CMMU Researchers

The Sufficiency Economy Business Standard (SEBS), the first of its kind in Thailand, has been launched at a national seminar on Sufficiency Economy in business on March 9, 2011.  Presided over by Privy Councilor Palakorn Suwannarat, the event was organized by Office of The Royal Development Projects Board (RDPB), in conjunction with The Chaipattana Foundation and The Thai Chamber of Commerce, to commemorate His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 84th birthday anniversary.
     
The pioneering Sufficiency Economy Business Standard has been developed by a team of CMMU top-notch researchers with a 2.5 million baht grant from the Thailand Research Fund and RDPB with the objective to raise the standard of sustainable business practices in the country. The Standard will initially be used by RDPB to promote sustainable businesses practices that are consistent with His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy.
     
CMMU is the only business school in Thailand that has since 2004 continuously researched the application of the royal Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy in business organizations. 
 

Mr. Chalermkiat Sanvises, RDPB Secretary-General, is delivering a speech about the objective of the seminar.

 
Privy Councilor Palakorn Suwannarat is delivering an opening speech by emphasizing the role of the royal Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy in business organizations in order to ensure sustainable development.
 

Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary-General of The Chaipattana Foundation, is delivering a speech on Sufficiency Economy in business organizations.

 
Assistant Professor Dr. Sooksan Kantabutra, Chief Researcher of CMMU Leadership Research Group and RDPB Project Director for the Sufficiency Economy Business Standard Development, is introducing the Standard.
 
Moderated by CMMU Dr. Sooksan Kantabutra, a panel discussion among top managers of Sufficiency Economy businesses that have been awarded royal trophies from His Majesty the King and H.R.H.
