PhD student awarded Royal Golden Jubilee

Assistant Professor Dr. Roy Kouwenberg, CFA and Teerapong Pinjisakikool, a PhD student, have been awarded a Royal Golden Jubilee Grant of approximately 1.5 million baht by the Thailand Research Fund.

Commemorating His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's Golden Jubilee year of reign, the prestigious Royal Golden Jubilee-PhD program was set up in 1999 to allow highly qualified faculty members to train PhD graduates at the international standard to meet the demand of the country.  The grant will support Teerapong to work on his doctoral research in the area of finance with Assistant Professor Dr. Roy Kouwenberg, CFA. The Royal Golden Jubilee-PhD program is extremely selective.  According to the Thailand Research Fund, faculty members who are qualified for the prestigious grants are only those who clearly demonstrate their ability to continuously publish their research in high-quality international journals for at least the past five years. 

 

At present, the CMMU PhD program hosts three Royal Golden Jubilee scholars, namely: Assistant Professor Dr. Nathasit Gerdsri (technology management), Assistant Professor Dr. Roy Kouwenberg (finance) and Assistant Professor Dr. Sooksan Kantabutra (leadership), an indication of the highest quality of the CMMU PhD program.
