CMMU Faculty Internationally Recognized with Outstanding Leadership Award at The World HRD Congress 2012

On February 17, 2012 in Mumbai, India, Associate Professor Dr. Sooksan Kantabutra is chosen from a pool of professionals worldwide by the Jury and Global Board Members of the World HRD Congress 2012 to receive the Outstanding Leadership Award, the most prestigious Award and the highest honor which an Individual can receive for his/her leadership in the field and contribution to the world’s body of knowledge.  According to the Global Chairman of the Congress, CMMU’s Dr. Kantabutra is chosen because his status in the fraternity is strategic and iconic.

Held every year for the last 20 years, the World HRD Congress is a not – for – profit making activity.  Past awardees from the World HRD Congress include renowned professors from some of the world’s top business schools such as London Business School, ESSEC Business School in France, The University of Michigan School of Business Administration in the USA, Instituto de Empresa Business School in Spain, and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Business School.

The first Thai scholar to receive an award from the World HRD Congress, Dr. Kantabutra is invited to deliver a speech at the Award Ceremony on "Sufficiency Economy Leadership Practices: A Thai Approach to Corporate Sustainability", which is well received by the audience.  At CMMU, Dr. Kantabutra has been instrumental in designing the CMMU Master of Management in HR program, the first and the best Master's degree program of its kind in Thailand.

The Outstanding Leadership Award Dr. Kantabutra receives indeed confirms CMMU’s status as a leading business school in Asia.
