CMMU Leadership Research at Asia's Most Innovative Enterprise Published Internationally

A CMMU research report by Associate Professor Dr. Sooksan Kantabutra, entitled Putting Rhineland Principles into Practice in Thailand: Sustainable Leadership at Bathroom Design Company, has been published by Global Business and Organizational Excellence indexed by Scopus. This journal focuses on reporting best practices of real-world organizations, confirming practicality of cutting-edge research at CMMU.
The research adopts Avery’s 19 sustainable leadership practices derived from Rhineland enterprises as a framework to examine the sustainable business practices of Bathroom Design, one of Asia’s most innovative manufacturers in Thailand. Six core sets of practices consistent with the 19 sustainable leadership practices are identified: a focus on long-term perspective, management development, strong organizational culture, innovation, social responsibility and ethical behavior. The report concludes that Avery’s 19 Rhineland practices provide a framework applicable to enterprises in Thailand to evaluate their corporate sustainability. Enterprises in Thailand or other less developed economies which wish to sustain their organizational success can adopt Avery’s 19 Sustainable Leadership Grid elements to examine their leadership practices and adjust them to become more sustainable.
