A Research Grant of 4.6 Million Baht to CMMU to Enhance the Sufficiency Economy Business Standard

In conjunction with the Thailand Research Fund, The Royal Development Projects Board has granted 4.6 million baht to CMMU Leadership Research Group (LRG) to develop the Sufficiency Economy Business Standard (SEBS) further and to train SEBS appraisers nationwide.

This project involves with developing a Problem-Based Learning course, for which CMMU is renowned, to train the SEBS appraisers nationwide.  The trained appraisers will then appraise prospective businesses which enter a national competition, organized by the Royal Development Projects Board, to win His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s trophies.  The appraisers’ feedback from this competition will be used to improve the standard further to ensure its most effectiveness.

Since 2004, CMMU has continuously researched the application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in business organizations, findings of which have informed policies and practices of numerous businesses in Thailand today.  With a total research grant of over 10 million baht in this area, CMMU is now nationally recognized as the pioneering center for the study of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in business organizations.
