CMMU Faculty Internationally Recognized for Research Excellence

A CMMU research report, entitled “Sustainable leadership in a Thai healthcare services provider”, by Associate Professor Dr. Sooksan Kantabutra has been chosen as a Highly Commended Paper Award Winner at Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2012. This report, published by the International Journal of Health Care Quality Assurance, presents unconventional leadership practices, called Sufficiency Economy, at Theptarin Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. This is the second consecutive year Associate Professor Dr. Sooksan Kantabutra has received this international award for research excellence.

Every year Emerald invites each journal’s Editorial Team to nominate what they believe has been that title’s Outstanding Paper and up to three Highly Commended Papers from the previous 12 months. The award winning papers are chosen following consultation among the journal’s Editorial Team, many of whom are eminent academics from leading business schools around the world. According to Emerald, the CMMU report has been selected as "it was one of the most impressive pieces of work the team has seen throughout 2011."

Emerald is the world’s leading scholarly publisher of journals and books in business and management. According to it, all of the world's top 100 business schools (listed by the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings) have Emerald authors. The Emerald Literati Network Award indeed confirms CMMU as a leading business school in Asia.
