Faculty Research on Sufficiency Economy Businesses Published as a Book Chapter Launched Worldwide

A book chapter by CMMU’s Associate Professor Dr. Sooksan Kantabutra, entitled “Sufficiency Economy Philosophy: A Thai Approach to Sustainable Enterprises”, has been published in a management textbook recently launched worldwide.  The textbook, entitled “Sustainable Leadership: Fresh Thoughts”, provocatively covers diverse topics related to establishing sustainable leadership in different national and industry settings.
     The CMMU book chapter explains King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand’s philosophy of Sufficiency Economy, and discusses eight years of research findings that endorse the King’s philosophy as an approach to sustain firm competitiveness in Thailand and abroad.  It is the first time the King’s philosophy is extensively featured in an international management textbook.
     CMMU is the first business school in the world which incorporates the royal philosophy of Sufficiency Economy in its curriculum, confirming its status as a leading business school in Asia.
