CMMU Faculty to present his research at EEA Annual Congress in Sweden

Associate Professor Dr. Roy Kouwenberg will present his research on “Ambiguity Attitudes and Economic Behavior” at the 28th Annual Congress of the European Economic Association, held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 26 through 30 August 2013. The EEA conference is one of the world's leading conferences for economists. The paper presented by Dr. Roy investigates whether ambiguity aversioncan explain who so few people own stocks, using a large representative sample of U.S. households.Ambiguity aversion refers to the fact that most people dislike making decisions when the probabilities of the outcomes are not known exactly.The research is joint work with Steve Dimmock (Nanyang, Singapore), Kim Peijnenburg (Bocconi, Italy) and Olivia Mitchell (Wharton, UPenn).
