CMMU Faculty Member to present his research in the Academy of Management Annual Conference 2014




Dr. Kiattichai Kalasin, CMMU full time faculty member who graduated from HEC, Paris has a recent research paper entitled “Escaping from the Bear’s Embrace: State-Owned Enterprises from Emerging Economies and International Expansion.” This paper is co-authored with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Miguel Rivera-Santos from Babson College, USA and Prof. Pierre Dussauge, HEC Paris. The paper investigate the impact of varying levels of government ownership on emerging economy state-owned enterprises’ international expansions.

This paper has also been accepted to present in the upcoming Academy of Management Annual Conference 2014 in Philadelphia, USA which is the best conference in Management discipline. The Academy of Management Journal (AMJ) and the Academy of Management Review (AMR), its 2 academic journals are the most difficult journal to be accepted for publication with H-index as high as 160 for AMJ and H-index of 146 for AMR. Moreover, Dr. Kalasin also has been accepted to participate in a PDW session (Professional Development Worskhop) on the topic of “An Institutional Diversity Perspective of Global Strategy”

Therefore, it is a very good opportunity to give a big congratulation to Dr. Kalasin for his research progress.
