CMMU Faculty members and students participate in Oxford’s 7th conference on Retailing in the Asia Pacific

University of Oxford’s 7th conference on Retailing in the Asia Pacific was hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) between September 24-26, 2014. Dr. Kannika Leelapanyalert presented her paper entitled "User generated content: An exploratory study of popular brand posts on retail Facebook fan pages". Dr. Randall Shannon attended with two students from CMMU: Jiaranai Chaiyakarn, an MM student, presenting a paper from her thesis research entitled "Private label brands among street vendors in Bangkok", and Boonying Kongarchapatara, a Ph.D. candidate presenting a paper from his study entitled "Behavioral change of loyalty program members: An investigation of customer's purchases when one moves from lower to upper tier".



Additionally, the organizing team from Oxford’s newest book just launched, entitled Retailing in Emerging Markets, A policy and strategy perspective. Dr. Randall and Boonying wrote a chapter: Transformations in Thailand’s Retailing Landscape: Public Policies, Regulations, and Strategies.

CMMU will host the 8th conference with Said Business School, University of Oxford, UK in 2016, having first hosted it in 2007!
