Abstract
Enterprises seeking success have a choice of business models to follow. This case study demonstrates the extent to which Nithi Foods, a small manufacture of food seasonings and dehydrated spices and vegetables, engages in management practices consistent with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in endeavoring to operate as a sustainable enterprise.
In sharp contrast to the prevailing business model of short-term maximization of profitability, management practices at Nithi Foods are described in accordance with their fit with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy model. The chapter starts with an introduction to Nithi Foods, then shows how its business in business activities are influenced by virtues, knowledge, a sufficiency mindset and action principles. Measurable learned from adopting the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy are discussed.
