Khanyapuss Punjaisri is associate professor in Marketing. She completed her PhD in marketing from Strathclyde Business School, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. Prior to joining CMMU in 2019, Dr Punjaisri worked as a lecturer/senior lecturer at various universities in the UK, namely Nottingham Trent University, University of Hull, Brunel University London and University of Kent. She was also invited to teach in a marketing/branding course in MBA at University of Essex and KAPLAN Singapore. During her academic career, she also worked on a consultancy project, sometimes together with her postgraduate students, for a local business and a local parish council. In addition, she was appointed as an external examiner for undergraduate marketing and tourism management courses at York St John University, University of Westminster, and Northumbria University, UK. She has been a fellow member of the Higher Education Academy UK for 11 years.
Dr Punjaisri’s special research interest lies in branding, namely services branding, corporate branding and internal branding. Her research is cross-disciplinary, involving human resources, leadership, and organisational behaviour. Her publications appear in highly-regarded international journals, including European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Brand Management, Journal of Service Management, Journal of Marketing Management, European Business Review, and etc.). She also won a best paper award from the AMA SERVSIG International Research Conference, and secured research grants from British Academy for the projects addressing the concern over young peoples’ food consumption and branding. She has been acting as reviewers for various leading international journals.
